Privacy Policy
close curtain ("we", "us") builds software and manages digital marketing for our clients. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and how we protect it. If you have questions, email matt@closecurtain.com.
Information we collect
- Contact information you give us directly (name, email, phone) when you reach out or engage our services.
- Client account access that a client authorizes us to manage on their behalf, for example a business's social media or Google Business Profile, accessed only through the platform's official, permissioned connection.
- Content and media a client provides for us to publish on their accounts.
- Basic technical data such as log and device information needed to operate and secure our tools.
How we use information
- To provide the services a client has engaged us for, including creating and publishing content to the client's own connected accounts.
- To communicate with clients about their work.
- To operate, maintain, and secure our software.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Third-party platforms
We connect to platforms including Meta (Instagram and Facebook) and Google Business Profile strictly on behalf of clients who have authorized us as a manager of their accounts. We access only what is needed to publish and manage that client's content, and only with their permission. Each platform's own terms and privacy policies also apply to data held on their systems.
Google user data
close curtain's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google Business Profile access solely to read and publish posts and business information for the specific client locations we manage, and we do not transfer or use that data for any other purpose.
Sharing
We share information only with the service providers needed to deliver our work (for example, hosting and content-delivery services), or when required by law. We never sell client or personal data.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed to provide our services or as required by law, and we apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it. Access tokens for client accounts are stored securely and used only for the authorized service.
Your choices
Clients may end a connection or ask us to delete their data at any time by emailing matt@closecurtain.com. Platform connections can also be revoked directly from the client's own Meta or Google account settings.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
